      SIM card provisioning for Rekor Edge Max

      Rekor Edge Max leverages cellular connectivity to its fullest and has some requirements for the SIM card and its provisioning.

      SIM card provisioning profiles must meet the requirements of the Master Edge device used int he Rekor Edge Max systems.

      Please ensure that the SIM card/data plan is:

      • Provisioned for a LTE Cat 4 SIM with data rates in the 10Mbps or more.
      • Not provisioned as an IoT/M2M SIM. That will not work with our modem.
      • Provisioned with *bi-directional* SMS (text messaging)
      • Provisioned with a static IP address.
      • Provisioned for Roaming. In case a cell tower was to become unavailable, we want to ensure the client does not loose connectivity (this situation is also close to impossible to troubleshoot remotely).
